As it turns out, there's more than one way to get an Epic Sunmoth. You can get an egg from some guy on some route that hatches into Merarva, the pre-evolution form of Urgamoth. So you don't absolutely HAVE to catch the level 70 one in the castle of doom, but it would certainly make things faster seeing as the blasted thing evolves into Urgamoth at level bloody 59. XD

But I kinda want to raise a Merarva anyway. Just because it's adorable. ^^;

Nice to see that most people have accepted that it's not a legendary now, too.

Raising it from an egg sounds fine to me. It'd be wasted otherwise. ^^

Yeah, Isshu is full of long evolution times and species that take way too long ot be useful. For the first time in my history of playing pokemon this game is actually making me have to train things temporarily then box them once they outlive their usefulness. Like Leopardas. Poor thing, so pretty, so blessed with suck. >

My Leopardas has just been relegated to the role of very pretty hedge clippers as my Disgruntled Grass Serpent and Proto-Haxdaruma pwn everything alongside my mighty filler bird. Can't wait until i can shove a Dentula into the mix. >>

I tended to do that once every generation myself. In first Gen I started off by training a Butterfree but by the 4th or so gym I ended up boxing it. I didn't want to do it, but it just wasn't effective enough anymore. D:

I just never really caught 'filler' PokeMon and focused on catching the things I wanted instead and power-levelling my team. It seems a bit impossible to do in this generation, particularily if you started with 'Tarja.
