As it turns out, there's more than one way to get an Epic Sunmoth. You can get an egg from some guy on some route that hatches into Merarva, the pre-evolution form of Urgamoth. So you don't absolutely HAVE to catch the level 70 one in the castle of doom, but it would certainly make things faster seeing as the blasted thing evolves into Urgamoth at level bloody 59. XD

But I kinda want to raise a Merarva anyway. Just because it's adorable. ^^;

I tended to do that once every generation myself. In first Gen I started off by training a Butterfree but by the 4th or so gym I ended up boxing it. I didn't want to do it, but it just wasn't effective enough anymore. D:

I just never really caught 'filler' PokeMon and focused on catching the things I wanted instead and power-levelling my team. It seems a bit impossible to do in this generation, particularily if you started with 'Tarja.
