Because the Sky is There...
Feb. 14th, 2004 02:49 pmBeware. Long Entry. X_X
For some reason, I decided to put all the anime songs I have on a playlist and play them today. Maybe it's because I watched too much PokeMon Advanced Generation lately. I've reached up to the Spinda ep today (meaning that I got to see the Flannery battle... Good gods, for a fire-type trainer, she's awfully hyper... almost like she's high on something! O_O).
Anyway, back on topic... I never paid too much heed to the first endsong for Advanced Generation, Soko ni Sora ga Arukara. (I tried to refrain from listening to that song when I saw the first few episodes, because of the horribly cheesy Ash and Pikachu video connected to it in the series.) I liked the second one, Polka-O-Dolka (which was effing hillarious, and sung by Meowth. NYAA! XD), and I had no opinion on the third endsong (PokeMon Advanced Generation: Smile, which started at Episode 52, "Plusle and Minun! Road Assistance!?"), except for the fact that from the pictures I saw, it seemed cheesy.
But anyway, it seems that between Ep. 46 (The Winstrate Family ep.) and Episode 52 (mentioned before), Polka-O-Dolka was replaced by the first endsong again. And I decided... What the hell, I'll give it a chance. The animation was still as cheesy as I remembered, but... Damn, that song almost brought me to tears. o_o
The full version is even more beautiful. I only wish someone translated the lyrics of that. X_X
Heh, and now that I got to listen to the newest Endsong, I think it's very damn pretty, too. And heck, even the animation managed to move me a bit... Cheesy or not. :P This is definitely a song I'll be waiting for a full version of with much expectation.
So now I've got a whole playlist of anime songs running. And I was through the PokeMon section through all the time I wrote this... Heh.

Well, in spite of an emotionally confusing week (I don't feel like delving into the details at teh moment), I'm feeling pretty well. I finally made some progress on a large picture project that's been in the works for quiiiiiiiiite a long time, because I got stuck with drawing a front view human. I hate drawing humans in general, I hate drawing front views in general, imagine the frustration of both put together. x_X
Also made a bunch of progress in Lunar Legend. And MAN the Blue Dragon looks freaky in this game. I shudder to think of what the Black Dragon will look like, Assuming I'll ever even get to see it. God damned mad scientists and their impossible-to-reach-anywhere-in-towers. I swear, Lunar: Legend is almost as bad as Phantasy Star 2 when the number of in-game mazes is concerned. AGH. x_X
... Jessica ROCKS tough. Priestess + Claws + Attitude = Badass. xD

The time in which this entry is posted is 15:30. And guess what song started playing? Yup, Soko ni Sora ga Arukara. Or in English, "Because the Sky is There." Now, if THAT's not Irony, I don't know WHAT is. ^^;
