RIP ForestofStars.com
Apr. 1st, 2008 11:59 amRecently I was informed that the host FoS was hosted on is shutting down, and that once the domain expires (sometime in June), FoS will officially be down.
Since I won't be around to turn the lights off on the day the site shuts down officially, I decided to take it down as of now. I can't say I'm too happy about it - actually, I'm rather miffed. But what can I do, really?
Everything, by the way, is backed up and saved locally, so, on the unlikely occasion I'll manage to find a web host that is affordable, supports MySQL and php (because I can has an SMF-powered forum and that alas requires MySQL) and NOT likely to spontaneously combust, FoS may get back online. But yeah... I don't see how that is going to happen anytime soon.
And to add insult to injury, dA thought it's HILLARIOUS to turn all icons on the site into -eff!-ing MUDKIPS today. April Fools my ass. dA -ARE- fools, so it fits, I guess.
Mrgh. Fuck it.
