On one hand it sounds like it could be a great movie, with random Gattaca weirdness. On the other... it sounds like it could be an easily-messed-up movie if directed wrongly, potentially ending up like a bastard child of Freejack and the Chronicles of Narnia movie (which I've never seen but which I hear pretty much played up ethereality at the expense of any sort of real-world significance, except in the minds of some religious extremists). Moral of the story: don't sell _anything_ to Uwe Boll.
As for the concept -- can't say I believe in the soul, but I love serious postulation on such Platonic concepts. It's against scientific objectivity and for "boggling of ze mind".
