Saw it. Was fun. In a HEY GUESS WHAT LET'S RAPE THE TIMELINE kinda way. Cast was freakin' perfect though. Got the characters nailed.

Oh yes. And eggs.

"Permission to speak freely, sir?"
"I welcome it?"
"In that case... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR VULCAN MIND?!"

McCoy FTW. XD

Scotty was frelling WIN too. Actually the entire damn cast was epic win. XD

And I guess I really like the fact that the J. J. Fucking Abramsverse is pretty much an alternate timeline. <<;

One has to wonder what inspired the Rommies to suddenly lose their forehead ridges for crazy tribal tattoos and ditch their entire spaceship motif for angry spiky vessels of death. Oh right. J.J. Abrams. Must have been the OTHER Romulans.

Interestingly, they claimed the Narada was a mining craft, and Rommies mostly used Remans for mining operations - so it might actually be a craft of Reman design, much like Shinzon's fucking-awesome-ship-of-wtf in Nemesis.

Interestingly, this up-and-coming Star Trek MMORPG fuckityness actually incorporated the alternate timeline into it - it takes place in the main universe after the events that led to the Narada and Spock's ship to be thrown back in 'time' (considering the fact Spock and Nero still existed after they changed the things they changed in the past with their memories intact, this would make it more of a timeline shift than time travel... but let' not get that philosophical) and actually mentions them, believing Spock died back there when he was sucked into the black hole, and sacrificed himself to save the main universe. Crazy, huh.

OSHI- PIME TARADOX.
