#062 Marakachi (Grass)
Move over, Cacturne, you've just been unitentionally outcreepified. This thing looks waaaaaay too happy. Also like a Digimon. Nice special attack there, but I might go for something faster, personally.

#063 Ishizumai (Bug/Rock) and #063 Iwapares (Bug/Rock)
PokeMon needed a hermit crab, and one that evolves to have a freaking geological strata on its back was certainly something I didn't expect, rendered only slightly less awesome when you realize that it looks like it has a huge slab of pastry on its back. A bona fide... (sunglasses) crab cake. (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH etc). Another slow and defensive one. Meh.

#065 Zuruggu (Dark/Fighting) and #066 Zuruzukin (Dark/Fighting)
Seeing these two instantaneously made me think of General Larry Platt's masterpiece of fine poetry. I believe it went a little something like this:
"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground
Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground."

When even fricking lizards grow mohawks and start sagging you KNOW you should weep for humanity. With generally crap stats, too, it is clear that a really awesome type combination is once again represented by something that doesn't even begin to deserve it. And looks like a fool with its pants on the ground.

#067 Shinporah (Psychic/Flying)
Oh boy. Where do I even BEGIN. Shinporah is the Isshu region's 'Artifact Creature', continuing a proud tradition starting with the likes of Unown, continuing through fine monstrosities such as Claydol and Bronzong, and finally culminating in THIS. The difference is, years of producing things loosely based on historical relics given a deeply disturbing life (and often huge round eyes) has apparently caused Game Freak to refine the art of creeping us out with things that should not be and finally created something I can actually appreciate. And it's supposed to be based on the Nazca Lines, which is even MORE of a bonus. Magic Guard as an ability and a nice special attack and speed lead me to believe I may train one. Just to weird the hell out of everyone within a 9 mile radius.

#068 Deathmas (Ghost) and #069 Deathkan (Ghost)
And now for some Ancient Egyptian Artifact Creatures. Deathkan is pretty awesome looking but it's another 'Slow and Defensive' one, and I can't say I'm a big fan of those. An interesting thing about it is its ability, Mummy - which makes the ability of anything that attacks it Mummy as well - making it quite literally Death in a Can. XD Also, because of the way 'Death' in Japanese is often spelled as Desu, this literally calls for some horrendous Suiseiseki jokes. Who can do it? DESU CAN! DESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESU-

#070 Protoga (Water/Rock) and #071 Abagohra (Water/Rock)
FOSSILS. I love these guys' design. They're pretty much what Blastoise should have been and never had the guts to be. It's also kiiiiiiiiind of a tank physically (though its special defense leaves much to be desired, leading to what I will most eloquently refer to as 'Rape by Energy Ball'. Also, again with the 'Slow as Shit' issue. Sigh.

#072 Achen (Rock/Flying) and #073 Archaeos (Rock/Flying)
Now THAT is what I'm TALKING ABOUT! A fast and murderously powerful Archaeopteryx-Microraptor crossbreed? Sign me up. Now. Only thing that mildly worries me is its ability, 'Weak-Kneed'. Rumors have it that it makes its stats take a plunge downwards when it's under 50% HP, which makes it... not all that great. Hopefully the rumors are not true. Because if they are... Way to rape a good Pokemon, assholes. >>;

#074 Yabukuron (Poison) and #075 Dastodas (Poison)

All I have to say on the matter can be summarized in this picture:

#076 Zorua (Dark) and #077 Zoroark (Dark)

The very first Pokemon we got to see of this generation and its pre-evolution pretty much live up to the speculation around them: Zoroark's stats are very evocative of Lucario, if slightly inferior in all but special attack and speed (which are slightly superior). Curiously enough most of the moves it learns are physical, but eh. I suppose we could always TM it up... and we have no idea what the new moves it learns are yet. That aside, I rather like Zoroark. It's a total Denjuu. Its ability, while technically useless, is a cool twist on what it is based on (the legend of the shapeshifting Kitsune). I have no comments on Zorua beyond EMO VULPIX. Sadly, this PokeMon will most likely remain out of my hands as apparently the only way to get it is through events - although, being so deep in the middle of the PokeDex, I find myself wondering...

#078 Chillarmy (Normal) and #079 Chillachino (Normal)

When this thing was first revealed I thought that it's probably going to be cutesy-annoying, but with Technician as a possible ability I figured I may give it some kind of a fighting chance - maybe it would be more badass-cute. However it appears that learnset and moveset-wise, Chillarmy is right next to useless: all its best attacks are special, but its special attack is nil and its physical attack, which is pretty nice, is largely unused. I suppose it's supposed to be more of a vanity PokeMon with its best uses being in the new Musical feature (the thing learns Hyper Voice, fuck's sake), but If so, why is it so overly common? Go figure, Gamefreak. As a second part of this sad joke, this thing can't even be used as an HM slave. HM Slaves are really hard to come by in this game.

On the other hand take a load of that evolved form. You'd almost expect it to be a Denjuu Mod Evolution with a scarf... Generation 5 is wayyyyy too Telefang for its own good. <<;

#080 Gothemme (Psychic), #081 Gothimelle (Psychic), and #082 Gothilselle (Psychic)

What is with PokeMon and Humanoids dressed up funny?

Gothemme is clearly what happens when a Smoochum decides to go through an angsty rebel phase, leaves the tribal ice caves of its kind and waddles off to the city, where it is taught the way of dressing up like a goth slut. The Jynx say that it's just a phase and she'll grow out of it, but she's so caught up in Gardevoir-supermodel promoted anorexic fashion and the loligoth scene that she stays that way along three evolutionary stages. Gothilselle is a cry for help, guys. If you see one, please put it out of its misery.

Like every imitation it is inferior to the original in every way, except for a better defense and a slightly better HP. From its moveset data, though, it appears that Gothilselle has a different purpose - TO BE ANNOYING. With a variety of area-effect moves that seal usage of held items (Magic Room, a new move), restoration moves (Heal Block) and the ability to learn Embargo via TM... Yyyyyup. Put it out of MY misery. >>;

Because of its disturbed, dark and emo psyche and the fact no one understands it, Gothilselle and co. are exclusive to Black Version. White version gets something far more adorable.

#083 Uniran (Psychic), #084 Doubran (Psychic), and #085 Ranculus (Psychic)

Oddly enough the Emogoth's White Version counterpart is a... floating cell creature with a high HP and neutral-nice defenses (I guess it can absorb much damage with that cytoplasmic jelly) and a rather kickass special attack, alongside Magic Guard as an ability. It seems to have a nice range of TMs too. Its major weakness is its speed - the poor thing suffers from the typical Isshu Slow As Shit syndrome, but just... look at it. Maybe it's my biologist bias talking, but... It's just so gosh-darn cute!

I wonder if it eats berries by phagocytosis?

#086 Koaruhii (Water/Flying) and #087 Swanna (Water/Flying)

An ugly duckling that evolves into a swan. Come on. Who didn't see they'll use THAT trope at some point? Koaruhii is another fascinating instance of the derpface syndrome (seen before on Otamaro an Zeruggu's line), and its evolution was clearly modeled with the Swan Lake ballet in mind. Swanna is kind of a decentish standard flying type, though why in the name of zog it needs to learn Defog by level is beyond me.

#088 Vanipucchi (Ice), #089 Vaniricchi (Ice), and #090 Vaivanilla (Ice)

KILL IT WITH FIRE.

#091 Shikijika (Normal/Grass) and #092 Mebukijika (Normal/Grass)

Oh deer. I can see a staggering amount of people fawning over this one. And rightly so: With a nice attack (which can be boosted by being hit with a grass attack via the new Herbivore ability) and speed (which can be boosted through sunshine via its alternate ability, Chlorophyll) and the fact that its evolved form looks so damn cool, I find the entire line very endearing. I will most likely train one on my second run of the game when I will start with Narwhalrus as my backup grass type. ^^

I am going to hell for this entry.

#093 Emonga (Electric/Flying)

Flying Pachirisu clone, making it even MORE ANNOYING than usual. Next.

#094 Kaburumo (Bug) and #095 Shubarugo (Bug/Steel)

A cartoony June Bug evolving into a... bug knight. This creature actually has a pretty interesting evolutionary modus - the shell armor it wears is actually the discarded shell of a Chobomaki, a PokeMon later in the PokeDex. In order to get both Chobomaki and Kaburumo to evolve you need to trade them for each other. Crazy attack and defenses, but once again, Slow as Shit. At least it stands a higher likelihood of surviving being set on fire, even with that x4 fire weakness.

#096 Tamagetake (Grass/Poison) and #097 Morobareru (Grass/Poison)

This generation's Annoying Mimic PokeMon, replacing Voltorb. A PokeBall Amanita turning into what looks like a very, very disgruntled shield mushroom. It seems that someone in Game Freak has been playing Plants VS. Zombies - though they've really missed the chance to give it Explosion and make it an atomic mushroom. Or a Mushboom, if you will.

#096 Pururiru (Water/Ghost) and #099 Burunkeru (Water/Ghost)

It appears that someone misconstrued the phrase... (sunglasses) Royal Jelly. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
Yes, another Jellyfish - though as far as appearance goes, it fails to hold a candle to Tentacruel in terms of sheer awesomeness. In fact, the evolved form looks like either the King of Town of Homestar Runner fame, or - even more accurately, like the Pringles logo. Actually, I fib a little - that is only the male form. This species has a major gender difference - the females are pink and their evolved form looks more like a morbidly obese queen version to the male's king. Water/Ghost is a lovely type combination, and the thing's defenses and HP make up for its average speed. It seems like it would be better invested in special attacks. It also learns Water Spout. Somehow. I don't know.

#100 Mamanbo (Water)

Everyone and their goat were certain this was a Luvdisc evolution, though I was wary of that theory and as it turns out, I was right. Other than its heart-shape and the fact that it may be Isshu's source of Heart Scales (still unconfirmed), Mamanbo is utterly unrelated to anything. It is a standalone water-type based on an Ocean Sunfish, which if you ask me is kind of an insult to the sheer awesome of what it's based on, but, whatever, you know? It's kind of a filler anyway.

#101 Batula (Bug/Electric) and #102 Dentula (Bug/Electric)

Excuse me for a moment as I squee to all oblivion.

This thing? Right here? My personal favorite PokeMon in this entire bloody generation. It's the most bloody adorable bug type ever, has an interesting typing, gets Compoundeyes as one of its abilities (which gives Thunder a chance in hell to hit!) and learns Bug Buzz by level (albeit obscenely late) as well as Energy Ball by TM... and though its defenses are meh at best, it is FAST and has a pretty nice special attack stat which enables it to use all the moves I mentioned above. PLUS IT'S A FREAKING ADORABLE SPIDER OH GODS I WANT ONE NOW. DEFINITELY making it into my team, this lovely little thing.

#103 Desseed (Grass/Steel) and #104 Nuttrei (Grass/Steel)

... Of all the things they could have wasted this type combination on. A tripod Pineco/Forretress clone. Gog damnit. x-x

#105 Gear (Steel), #106 Gigear (Steel), and #107 Gigigear (Steel)

LOOK AT THIS THING. I thought Game Freak outgrew shit like this past Generation One. Seriously. Design-wise, this thing has to be the third most uninspired thing in the history of the series (right after Magneton and Diglett, and their names are as uninspired as their designs. And honestly, the difference between Gigear and Gigigear is so subtle they may as well have been one PokeMon and saved some bytes in the ROM. That said, their stats appear quite impressive for pure Steel-types - I expected much less from something that gets Plus and Minus for abilities. Still uninspired as all hell, but I guess I can appreciate them a bit more for being USEFUL uninpsired as all hell. >>;

#108 Shibishirasu (Electric), #109 Shibibiiru (Electric), and #110 Shibirudon (Electric)

It may be rather slow but its attacks are MURDERSAUCE, it Levitates, and it's a fucking bioluminescent lamprey-eel thing with suction cups on its arms. We strongly suspect however that with all the Zelda references around, this thing is actually Link's hat given a sinister new life.

Meanwhile in Smash Land.

I may have to name one Murderfish. BAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

#111 Rigray (Psychic) and #112 Oobemu (Psychic)

Slow, slow, psychics. Supposed to represent typical UFO aliens (Oobemu's name in particular is a clever twist on this, as BEM can be the acronym for "Bug-Eyed Monster"). Look like they should hang out with Lampgera... Yet another Denjuu. XD

#113 Hitomoshi (Fire/Ghost), #114 Lamplar (Fire/Ghost), and #115 Chandellar (Fire/Ghost)

It's a Driflamp! Loving the type combination here as a type of ghost-light. Also looks like it's a really good special attacker. And It's kinda adorable. This generation's Fire-types are downright amazing.

#116 Kibago (Dragon), #117 Onondo (Dragon), and #118 Ononox (Dragon)

147 physical attack and 97 speed plus Mold Breaker on a pure dragon type with a massive physical move pool? Jesus Christ on a Stick. Where do I sign up?! Kibago is ridiculously adorable, and I really liked Ononox ever since it was revealed - even with the rather unfortunate color of its carapace, which looks SO much better in the official Sugimori art (I do have an urge to name one "AND MY AXE!" though). The middle form however, looks either like it ate a model airplane and the wings got stuck in the sides of its mouth, or like it has a Robotnik Moustache. It is a decent transition form though. I get the feeling Ononox will make it into a few of my teams, if only because it's one of the few final form dragons I really, really like. Blades and plating FTW.

#119 Kumashin (Ice) and #120 Tsunbear (Ice)

FINALLY they give us a polar bear... and it looks fucking retarded. The first form seems to have a perpetual cold and dripping snot from its nose, and the evolved form has form that tapers into a triangle with a TINY ASS HEAD and a redneck chin-beard made of icicles. It's probably being shafted over by its sprite (which looks... very... fanmade to be honest, even if it is confirmed real), and its stats mean it is quite usable, but... Ergh. I kiiiiinda want to draw my Miato polar bear punching it in the face. Just kinda.

#121 Freezio (Ice)

I can only guess what was going through the heads of Game Freak's design department when they made this, er, unique and beautiful snowflake:

"Hey, check this out!"
"Ooooh, that is nice. Maybe this could finally be that Ice/Dark that Glalie never had the balls to be!"
"... It's pure ice."
"But it's so sinister-looking! And it learns Night Slash! And we've already missed our shot with-"
"PURE. ICE."
"But that doesn't even make any se-"
"PURE ICE GODDAMNIT PURE ICE. IT'S PURE ICE."
"BUT IT LOOKS PURE EVIL!"
"PURE *ICY* EVIL."
"I give up. Do whatever you want. Wanker."

That said, I find myself wondering WTF about its stat distribution. It's fast and has a massive special defense and a nice special attack, Average HP, low attack, and UTTERLY NO PHYSICAL DEFENSE. Lightly poke it and it explodes. It leviates, but that won't save it from a Brick Break to the face. However, given its nice-ish special attack and its speed, it MAY be a threat to a bunch of things that are weak to, say, ice beam. If they don't get a heart attack from the sheer PURE ICY EVIL, that is.

#122 Chobomaki (Bug) and #123 Agirudar (Bug/)

I've already mentioned Chobomaki and Kaburumo's evolutionary swap of shells, which unleashes the hidden potential of Agirudar as a FAST, BADASS NINJA DEATH... bug... thing. Seriously what the hell is it. It's not a shrimp. It's not anything really. And it also really needs more moveset diversity. Primary special attacker too. I mean, really, I... I don't know what I think about this thing. o-o

#124 Maggyo (Electric/Ground)

Continuing with our trend of FISH OUT OF WATER, Maggyo is a cross of a torpedo ray and a solefish and it is pretty much the derpiest looking thing this generation, more of a trip-mine than anything. Its markings make it look like it got caught while painting a road, and its HP and defenses mean it's probably going to take a while to take out.

#125 Kojofu (Fighting) and #126 Kojondo (Fighting/)

KUNG FU WEASELLLLLLLLLLLLLLS~ FINALLY one awesome looking fighting type in this entire bloody region. My life is now complete. This critter is fast, physical-attack-centric and learns Drain Punch which is finally usable. It also gets Aura Sphere at some point. I wonder if it's supposed to represent some form of Kamaitachi?

#127 Crimgan (Dragon)

If Ononox was an Elite, then this thing here is a Brute. Slow as shit, inferior in every way stats-wise and equipped with Hihidaruma's already broken ability for MASSIVE DAMAGE. Meh. I guess it's good if you're trying to cheap your way through stuff. But even if it wasn't that... Look at it. I've seen fan-mades better than this. The clashing color scheme for one, and WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DEAL WITH THE HOLLY SPRIG WINGS? This thing needs to be green and red just for the sheer Christmas value of it all.

Dear Sugimori: MAKE YOUR WINGS MAKE SOME SENSE, MOTHER-EFF-ER!

#128 Gobit (Ground/Ghost) and #129 Gorog (Ground/Ghost)

Ahhh, a haunted Colossus. Every generation needs its slow Juggernaut I guess, and this thing pretty much fits the bill. Learning assorted punch moves and with iron fist as an ability I can see this thing lurching about on the battlefield, the ground tremoring in its wake as it slowly raises its arm in preparation to punch... I may have to name this thing Asgard. <<;

#130 Komatana (Dark/Steel) and #131 Kirikizan (Dark/Steel)

Sure, it's a very nice physical attacker, but this thing looks like you should be getting its power after you defeat it.

#132 Buffalon (Normal)

IT'S A BUFFALO WITH A GOD DAMN AFRO. And it learns a move called, I shit you not, Afro Break.
It has the same type and stat total as Tauros, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY slower (55 in comparison to Tauros' 110), seeming to increase its bulk (95 HP in comparison to Tauros' 75 and 95 Sp. Def in comparison to Tauros' 70) and marginally its attack power. I guess it could do some damage, but I think most people would train it for the novelty value of a PokeMon with a fucked up Afro.

Say buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo' again. I dare ya. I double dare ya.

#133 Washibon (Normal/Flying) and #134 Wargle (Normal/Flying)

Obviously, as Isshu is based on the New York area it had to feature some more AMERICA, FUCK YEAH! value - you know, along with the black people and the football players. And all those, er, huge slow things.

That said, statwise, Wargle is a kickass bird, though this thing should have been Fighting/Flying, damnit. It's perfect for the role. It even learns superpower (Lawl, because AMERICA IS A SUPERPOWER, GEDDIT?)

On a side note, my amazing girlfriend's initial reaction to this thing when it was first revealed was "I am going to catch one and name it Colbert. It has to be done."

#135 Vulchai (Dark/Flying) and #136 Vuljina (Dark/Flying)

This thing has the MOST UNFORTUNATE JAPANESE NAME EVER, And a rather unfortunate appearance, too. Some of us have been waiting for them to make a Vulture - could have made a great Ghost/Flying - and instead we get this... cheesy stereotypical Cannibal thing. The first form wears a freaking diaper of its own eggshell, and the next form seems to wear some... spiky stereotypical cannibal loincloth. Vuljina dentata?. Statswise, where Wargle was attack focused, Vuljina seems to focus on defenses - and its moves reflect its Dark nature. Apparently this and Wargle are version exclusives, which makes me sad.

#137 Kuitaran (Fire)

OH HELL YES. A GIANT GOGDAMNED ANTEATER. ABOUT TIME. Score another awesome looking fire type for this gen. Now please don't be a Black Version exclusive? Pretty please? ;-;

#138 Iront (Bug/Steel)

An ant. At last, we've got ourselves an ant! Surprisingly, it's a stand-alone. It's got a MASSIVE fire weakness (particularly on the special side of things) and crap for abilities (Swarm or Hustle? Sigh) but it is an Attack/Defense/Speed BEAST. This generation certainly has some bloody awesome bugs and I get the feeling that with some help from previous generation one could establish a Bug Team in Isshu that would wipe the smug grin off of everyone's faces.

#139 Monose (Dark/Dragon), #140 Jihead (Dark/Dragon) and #141 Sazando (Dark/Dragon)

Ye gods, this generation is just chock-full of dragons, isn't it? And STILL no Bug/Dragon or Grass/Dragon in sight. Motherfuckers. Oh well. The long anticipated Dark/Dragon is rather... Underwhelming, as far as I'm concerned, at least in its first two forms, whose heads have the look of that lanky pimply kid with the forelocks that cover his face up to the mouth and tags along with the big lummocking bully and goes "yeaaaaaaah..." to everything it says. It's almost agonizingly eighties looking. I could see this as the henchmen of the villains in My Little Pony or something. Were there any villains in My Little Pony, anyway?

The third form however screams DIGIMON MEETS DDS so hard it's not even funny anymore. It's got heads for arms and even gog almighty can't understand just how the hell it's supposed to fly. That said, I can't wait to see more of it. Statswise, it's a pseudo-legendary, so that means that just about everyone and their goat is going to use it. It has the lowest attack and the best special attack of the pseudo-legendaries so far and stands pretty much at the average point at anything else. It actually gets a few nice special attacks, too. Overall neutral on this one. I will be doing my best to get it to its final stage as fast as possible if I ever get one.

#142 Merarva (Bug/Fire) and #141 Urgamoth (Bug/Fire)

Words cannot begin to describe the levels of DO WANT I have for this species. My top favorite of the Isshu Fire-types (Which I already love to pieces), this thing's first form is adorable and its evolved form is nothing short of imperially majestic. Its stats too are seriously NICE for a bug - it's fast, it's got a pretty great special attack and with moves like Bug Buzz, FT and Psychic... Mreeeee. I swear Isshu is making me want to make a full bug team. My only issue with this lovely lepidopterror is the fact that (aside from its ungodly level of evolution, something that most Isshu PokeMon have in common), it is last in the PokeDex before the plague of legendaries, which means the poor thing is OBSCENELY late game - it was recently confirmed to be available either through capturing a specific fully evolved one at level 70, or by hatching Merarva from an egg given to you by a man on Route 18. Welp, that's what's trading for I guess~

And that's it for anything that isn't legendary. CUE THE LEGENDARY FAIL BRIGADE! Sorted by triads. XD

#144 Cobalon (Steel/Fighting), #145 Terrakion (Rock/Fighting) and #146 Viridion (Grass/Fighting).

The obligatory unrelated to anything legendary trio (supposed to be Roaming Pains In The Ass, though it turns out that this is not the case) these three all share an ability called Justice Heart. Cool names aside, the only one I really love (and indeed, the only LEGENDARY I really love this generation) is Viridion - that thing is gorgeous. Cobalon is amazingly awkward looking with those legs (it's pretty much a two-person horse costume. Fail.) and Terrakion reminds me of a god damn Final Fantasy VI Monster. I may have to call one Ralph when I catch one.

They appear to all be based on some kind of ungulates, and they could probably hang out with Arceus in the Dalai Llama corner.

#147 Tornaros (Flying), #148 Boltros (Electric/Flying) and #151 Landros (Ground/Flying).

THESE are the REAL roaming pain in the ass trio. Technically known as the "Raijin Trio", I think the name "Diseased Djinn Trio" is much more appropriate. It is pretty damn clear that the designers had to shoehorn some more legendaries into the game - you know, because it's not like we have way too many legendaries as is or anything - then got incredibly lazy and simply made three colorswaps of the same retarded Disney-looking thing instead. Seriously. They have PRACTICALLY THE SAME SPRITE. It's like one of those fan re-elements. But worse. For a bizarre reason which cannot be explained by normal means, Landros is separated from the other two (who appear to actually be version exclusive, Tornaros to black and Boltros to White) by several PokeDex spaces and has a different ability than them. Coincidentally it also looks the most diseased. Go figure.

#149 Reshiram (Dragon/Fire), #150 Zekrom (Dragon/Electric) and #152 Kyurem (Dragon/Ice).

Oh boy! Now all we need is two more dragons with names that end with 'im' and 'um' and a whole new reign of terror could begin! Reshiram and Zekrom are the mascot legendaries for Black and White version respectively and they've been heavily discussed as representations of Yang and Yin. I like them both relatively the same amount even if both have some degree of what to their design - which continues on the trend of JESUS CHRIST EVANGELION POKEMON that we've seen on Dialga and Palkia. Reshiram has a torch for a tail and the massive crotchfeatherage - both of which form slightly... unfortunate elements of its design. Zekrom on the other hand is a tricked out PC box complete with black plastics, glowing blue lights and a big damn turbine on its tail. I guess it decided that Dialga went the wrong way about having a massive fan on its ass and wanted to show it how it's done. It's also fucking scary when animated.

Kyurem is a huge damn mystery, and it's most likely (unless Gamefreak are trolling us all) the version mascot for PokeMon Gray. It represents a cold energy source, different than the hot energy sources of fire and lightning, and looks kinda... molten, honestly. It also gets Pressure as its ability (which honestly kinda sucks). Knowing Game Freak, it's a prime candidate for getting a new Forme in the next game.

Now if only they haven't wasted all those awesome types on fucking legendaries.

#153 Kerudio (Water/Fighting)

An event legendary. It's a fucking anorexic My Little Pony. Next.

#154 Meloetta (Normal/Psychic)

Another event legendary. IT'S A CROSS BETWEEN WINDWAKER ZELDA AND LADY GAGA! Apparently, it has an alternate form that is Normal/Fighting. Shiek? >>; Gogdamnit, this region never fails at out-Hyruling itself. I swear, if they aren't going to pull off a really aweso-

#155 Genosect (Bug/Steel)

MEEP.

I back what I said about Viridion being the only legendary I really love this gen around. THIS. THIS THING. Amazing design, amazing name, and IT'S A FREAKING RESSURECTED FOSSIL THAT WAS CYBORGIFIED AND MODIFIED AS A WEAPON. It's like Mewtwo over again, but... BADASS. And it's not even Psychic. It is however an Event creature, so I guess it'll take years before we get official art of it too. >>

On the whole, this gen has several misses an a HELL of a lot of hits. I am SO looking forward to properly playing this one, it's not even funny anymore. I can't even think of one team I want, there are so many creatures I want to try training. One thing is certain though. Generation V is full of pure unrefined win and awesome. ^_____________^

Supposedly it's another event unobtainable, but I can see it having some kind of a link to the other three.

Also, I would say that in a game where the female protagonist wears short short SHORT shorts (words cannot emphasize how short those shorts are) with flipper-wings so she can SWIM THROUGH THE SKY, gender assignments were NOT what Game Freak were particularily worried about.
