Some more CB thoughts, heh. ^^;;
Jun. 30th, 2003 10:42 amYet another normal day. Watched more CB (Sessions 5-8, Currently Downloading 9) and burned the first CD (Sessions 1-7).
( Potential Spoilers Here. )
Spike, so far, is one of the strangest protagonists i've ever seen in an anime. He reminds me a lot of Guybrush Threepwood in his animated incarnation in Curse of Monkey Island (they're drawn rather similarily - tall, thin-and-long limbs, and their walking animation is rather similar - sorta like their body is swinging when they walk. Spike's face, though, is quite intereting. I mean, there's a lot of expression in it. He can for a moment look almost emotionless, and then a few minutes later plaster on a goofy grin and look almost completely different. E's rather easy going, and he seems to have a knack for getting himself almost, but not quite killed every episode.
Faye is one interesting character... Crazy woman, she is... For someone THIS knee-deep in debt, i'm surprised she has such a sense of humor. The series seems to radiate her more sensual femme-fatale-ish side, most of the time - which is obviously a cliche'd diversion from what she really is. I don't know a lot about her yet (other from the fact that she's been in cryo-sleep for a while and that she gathered an... astronomical debt, as a result), but it'll be interesting to find out.
Jet is seemingly the voice of reason in the group - unlike the cocky, hot-headed Spike and the seductive, silly Faye (Although he has his moments of sillyness and the occasional rash decision). I haven't much to say about him, only that it seems like there's a lot more to him than just the resident father-figure.
Ed... I haven't seen her yet (the episode i'm currently downloading is her debut), but from what I've heard, she's most probably going to be a character i'm going to like. I wonder why she's called Edward, though. Maybe the anime has a good excuse in a later episode.
And Ein... Well, he's one of the cutest dogs i've seen in anime yet. Apparantly, he's actually a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (there's two breeds of them, it seems - Pembroke and Cardigan), and he's a bit less... long than its real-life counterparts, but he's still cute.
And speaking of Ein...

Which Cowboy Bebop Character are You like?
Rather strange, as in another personality test, I ended up as Ed. O_o XD
One thing I noticed about the 'Bebop crew is that they all seem to have a dark and tragic past. (Well, I don't know about Ed, but Ein was created in a lab, so I guess it counts. ^_^;;) One thing I noticed is that I REALLY like Spike and Faye's ships - Swordfish II has a sleek design and a weapon that is all too familiar, and Faye's Red Tail just looks like a rogue mutant of a Starfury, from Babylon 5. And when you combine that kind of ship with Faye's attitude... Whoo. o_O
I've had more ideas for the Spirit Dragon saga... more on this in a later post, though, as it is rather detailed and involves quite a bit of dreams.
Better end this entry before IE crashes. ^^;;
