Burnination Redux.
Feb. 28th, 2004 01:54 amRemember the palm tree that was set on fire on November 28th? Guess what? Today, ANOTHER one caught fire! This one was even closer to our house than last one, and this one was faaaaaaaar more dramatic.
Maybe because a car in the house next door also caught fire. It started with a tire, I think, and proceeded to burn the whole thing quite nicely. This time, the police and fire departments arrived rather quickly though, and again, with the help of some local residents, the fire was put out with little to no damage.
Well, except for the poor sod whose car got burninated. When the fire was put out, one tire was completely burned off, a lot of the paintwork burned, the metalwork was bent out of shape in some places, and as soon as the fire dept. got the engine cover opened, they watered the engine to death. In short, this car is a total loss. I hope the owner had insurance. xP
The lucky thing was that there was no wind. With the right wind, a lot more cars - and a few structures - including our own - could have been burned. o_O
One wonders if this palm tree was ignited by the same pyromaniac that ignited last one.

On other (rather ironic) news, I recently finished my first proper pic of Flaricane, the hyper-pyromaniac villain of the Corynx saga.
And now, it's time for me to head off to bed, for I'm le tired.
